What You'll Need
12–14 pounds apples of your choosing
1 cup granulated sugar, or erythritol
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup tapioca
3/4 cup warm water
Cinnamon and nutmeg, to taste
Vanilla ice cream, to serve
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
Peel, core, and quarter enough apples to fit comfortably in a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Corningware or Pyrex pans are recommended over metal for best results.
Place the apples in the baking pan.
Mix together the sugar, flour, tapioca, and warm water until combined. Pour the mixture over the apples.
Sprinkle generously with cinnamon and nutmeg.
Bake for 45–50 minutes, until the apples are tender and the sauce is bubbling.
Serving
Serve warm with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. A perfect offering for the harvest table.
