Mabon Crystal Infused Ritual Candle

Mabon, also known as the Autumn Equinox, is the second harvest festival on the Pagan Wheel of the Year. It is a moment of cosmic balance where day and night are of equal length. Spiritually, it is a time for "harvesting" the goals you set earlier in the year, expressing deep gratitude for your blessings, and preparing your home and spirit for the introspective "dream time" of winter. This candle is designed to act as a physical anchor for these intentions.

Citrine is often called the "Success Stone" or "Merchant’s Stone." It is perfectly aligned with Mabon because it vibrates with the energy of the sun, abundance, and manifestation. By infusing the candle with Citrine, we combine the element of Fire (the flame) with the element of Earth (the crystal) to amplify your ability to attract prosperity and maintain a positive mindset as the days grow darker.

We recommend enjoying your candle until the wax is about half an inch from the bottom. At this point, the wax will be soft enough to gently lift the crystal out with a metal spoon. Please be careful, as the wax and the stone may be hot. Once removed, wash the Citrine in warm, soapy water to remove any soy residue. You can then charge it under the moonlight and use it as a personal talisman.

We choose soy wax because it is a renewable, biodegradable resource grown by farmers right here in North America. Unlike paraffin wax, which is a petroleum byproduct, soy wax provides a clean, soot-free burn that won't release harmful toxins into your sacred space. It also has a lower melting point, which allows for a slower burn and a better scent throw for our essential oil blends.

This means our candles are not mass-produced in a factory. Each 8oz jar is poured in small batches during the weeks leading up to the Equinox. During the process, the space is energetically cleared, and we focus on the themes of Mabon—balance, gratitude, and abundance—ensuring that every candle carries a high-vibrational frequency when it reaches your altar.

To prevent "tunneling," ensure that the first time you light your candle, you let it burn long enough for the melted wax to reach the edges of the glass jar. Always trim your wick to 1/4 inch before each lighting to ensure a steady, controlled flame and to extend the overall life of your candle.

Absolutely! In the spirit of Mabon and honoring the Earth, we encourage upcycling. Once the candle is finished, simply wash the jar with hot, soapy water. These jars are perfect for storing dried herbs, holding small crystals, or even as a vessel for a new "spell jar."

Because we use natural soy wax and carefully selected oils, our candles are generally much better for those sensitive to the "chemical" smell of big-box store candles. However, because the scent is a sweet, warm harvest blend, we recommend burning it in a well-ventilated room if you are highly sensitive to aromas.
